I. GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. Defenses of final theses (Bc. and Ing.) and state exams will take place in the period from 31. 05. 2021 - 11. 06. 2021.
2. Defenses of final theses (Bc. and Ing.) and state exams will be realized for Slovak students by the full-time method.
3. Defenses of final theses (Bc. and Ing.) and state exams will be realized for foreign students by the distance method- on-line, through the MS Teams application.
4. The time Schedule, stated on the website of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering www.sjf.tuke.sk, applies to both methods of study. There are stated hour and day when the student participates in the defense of the final thesis and state exams.
5. For both methods of state exams, it applies that each student has 45 minutes to defend the bachelor's, respectively diploma thesis and to answer questions from state subjects without preparation.
6. Both the Commission and the student have:
   • mask,
   • own stationery,
   • gloves if necessary
7. A student, who will be physically present at the state examination, will sign an statutory declaration by the secretary of the commission upon entering the room.
8. After the defense of the final thesis and the state examinations of the student, the state commission will announce the result immediately.
9. The regulation of the Government of the Slovak Republic and the Rector of TUKE on protection in the process of the COVID-19 pandemic still applies to the persons involved in the defense of the final thesis and state examinations:
   • each member of the commission and the student must prove that they are negative, namely:
   • if he had fought off COVID-19, he has a confirmation within 180 days - he does not need a test,
   • if he has been vaccinated with any vaccine - does not need a test,
   • otherwise we require an antigen test, not older than 7 days.
10. During the state exams carried out by the distance method - on-line, the secretary of the state commission will contact the student within 5 minutes. before, according to the state examination schedule.
11. In order to verify the identity of the student at the state examinations carried out by the distance method, the student proves himself / herself into the camera with a valid ID card or ISIC card to an authorized person with regard to the protection of students' personal data.
12. The course of state examinations is managed by the chairman of the state commission.
13. According to Act no. 131/2002 Statute Book on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Certain Acts, the course and announcement of the results of the state final examination are public. If a participant from the public wants to take part in the final state examination, contact us by email: peter.frankovsky@tuke.sk at least three days before the deadline.

 

II. FINAL PROVISION

This Dean's order comes into force on 26.05.2021.
