Scientific research activities (according to the annual evaluation)

The scientific - research activity of the faculty, in accordance with its strategic intention, is based primarily on the solution of grant projects and projects for specific requirements of technical and production practice. The results of the solution of these activities, documented by their direct implementation in practice, form the potential for follow-up activities of the faculty, which include in particular publishing activity, activity in the field of inventions and implementation of scientific research results into practice:

hydrogen technologies (storage of hydrogen in metal hydride)
modernization and automation of gas boilers

preparation for innovation in engineering companies and technology
rehabilitation system for paraplegic patients

research and development of tailor-made implants using additive technologies
non-traditional forms of propulsion principles - tire
research in the field of internal combustion engines to minimize fuel consumption (Eco Shell)

Publishing activity

The Faculty supports publishing activities with its own edition of scientific and professional literature. The edition is governed by the operating guidelines approved at the meeting of the Scientific Board of the FME TU in Košice.

Assigned grant tasks and projects

The awarded grant projects are divided into domestic, which include: KEGA, VEGA, APVV, AV and state projects. A significant part of the projects are solutions with practice. Foreign projects include: FP6, MVTS, mobility projects. Scientific research activity is periodically checked and evaluated at the appropriate management levels of the faculty.

Membership in committees, scientific and professional bodies

These include representation of faculty staff in international committees for organizing conferences and congresses, membership in international editorial boards, membership in international advisory bodies for coordination and preparation of projects, and membership in international expert commissions for strategy in the field of scientific research activities and practice.
