Defining, planning, designing, performing and documenting Design Quality Assurance and industry standard product tests of gas detection instruments on New Product Introductions (NPI), Value or Component Engineering (cost reduction) and sustaining activities (quality problem solving, customization, manufacturing support, etc).
Testing and approving new products, components of sub-assemblies for use in new and legacy products.
Working in gas detection laboratory.
Applying international standards (UL, CSA, CE, ATEX, SIL) and Honeywell internal processes.
Designing test equipment (test stands) – both hardware and software.
Defining, establishing and promoting test methodologies
Co-operation with colleagues in Brno as well as in other Europe, Asia and USA locations.
Occasional travel, mostly in Europe

Education and Qualifications:
Master Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Quality/Physical measurements Engineering required
Experience required:
At least 3 years work experience in R&D product testing (validating product functionality and performance characteristics against Product Requirement Specification). Knowledge of reliability testing and analysis methods preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
Professional Skills and Knowledge:
Experience with testing to IEC or EN standards (or equivalent) is an advantage.
Knowledge of statistics, capability studies and tolerance analysis is an advantage.
Knowledge of reliability testing and analysis methods is an advantage.
Knowledge of programming (C,, LabView...) is an advantage.
Experience with CAD tools (e.g. Creo, ProE) is an advantage. Knowledge in capability studies
Required skills and personal characteristics:
Very good practical skilled person having at least basic electronics knowledge (data acquisition system), experience in designing tools and fixtures
